If anyone was wondering the part number for a LED flasher relay that fits straight into the Duke IV is 76011030000

 

Led Resistor

The 2013 R uses resistor's, which is a bit pants but works.

I wouldn't think so, because when I Google that part number it does say "LED Flasher Relay"... And who'd fit a standard relay and resistors rather than just a relay??

 

I am considering switching out the stock indicaters with LED as well.

Has anyone purchased the KTM flasher relay and installed it? Any comments about it or know the cost?

Has anyone used resistor's instead with success? If so could you please make recommendation?

Cost was about 30 USD I think.
I'd take a relay over the resistors any day.

Haven't gotten around to getting this yet, been busy with other stuff lately...

 

Haughom thank you very much for your reply it is greatly appreciated. I am going to see if my local dealer can order me the relay as I agree is much preferred over resistors.

 

Would someone kindly post the part numbers for the OEM 690R signal LEDs? (I think they are the same on the duke 200/390)

 

I just went through the Duke 200 owners manual and it doesnt show any part numbers for the turn signals except for the fuse.

I will have to see how I can order these as the 690R, 390/200 are not in Canada or the US!

I hear the 390 is coming so the parts should be available this year!

Sorry for bumping this slightly old thread. But I'm about to do this mod myself and I'm a bit unclear of exactly what parts are needed?

Am I correct in understanding that all I need are the indicators (4) and the LED relay?

Nothing else? I saw mentioned some adaptercables and diodes.

I have an 2012 Duke 690.

Evil, I picked up 4 led indicators and a universal led relay flasher from Lockhart Phillips. Cut stock indicators and crimpped new connections to connect LEDs and flasher. The flasher is located in the headlight plastics. Works good nothing else needed.

But I'm going with all original KTM Duke 690 R parts (LED's and relay), and I want to be able to put everything back to stock. Hence, no cutting for me.

So I guess the question that remains is: Do I need any cableadaptors or do the regular indicators share the same connectors with the LED's? (Indicator -> bike harness)

 

Sorry I can't answer that question but my assumption would be that the R LEDs have the sane connectors. Hopefully someone with those can confirm. Good luck and stay evil!

First attempt: failed.

Ok, so I removed the headlight to mount the new indicators and the LED flash relay.

All KTM parts.

Turns out the regular relay has two cables/terminals and the LED one has three.

To fix this, you ALSO need the adapter cable:

76011025000 ADAPTER CABLE FLASHER UNIT LED

I am pretty sure the third terminal is an Earth. I did the incandescent to LED conversion on my Boldor some years ago. It merely involved getting a three pin flasher can and Earthing the third terminal.

 

If anyone is interested there is a PowerPart kit available now that contains everything needed (the LED blinkers from the 690R, the relay and the cable needed).

I don't really fancy the KTM LED indicators too much, would want some smoked Kellerman's or something, but they're f00kin' expensive!

Unfortunately this part number is not available through KTM in Canada or the USA......

80 EUR seems very reasonable for the kit - I just need to find a way to get my hands on one...or two (for Schnell)

You would probably get them cheaper by looking for Duke 390 ones cause thats what they are. We get em for free :chinese: on a $7500 bike yet right through to the 1290 most come with globes :huh:

The relay will be cheaper agin because its a standard part in most good auto stores.
